My lighting design for "Hello, Dolly!" which opened this Friday.
The photos (in chronological order) are:
1. Towards the end of "Sunday Clothes," as the train blows off a little steam
2. The end of "It Takes A Woman," in which extols the virtues of "womanly work"
3. Two ballerinas take center stage for "Dancing"
4. We are introduced to Harmonia Gardens and its head waiter
5. Barnaby discovers that the waiters have accidentally exchanged his meager purse for the bulging wallet of his wealthy employer (a bit of explanation; during rehearsals, the guys in the orchestra pit gave a double fist pump every time Barnaby mentions the whale. Don't ask.)
6. Dolly in the spotlight during the musical's title song.
